Lars Deltrap
My name is Lars Deltrap, welcome to my website. I am an illustrator, animator and teacher. In addition to editorial illustrations for magazines and newspapers, I make animations for television, illustrate books and write and illustrate my own stories. Clients I work for include Querido, Gottmer, Sesamstraat, Zin Magazine, De Volkskrant, Quest Magazine, Zwijsen and Malmberg. Next to working in my studio, I teach art to students. I have taught at various institutions such as the TU Delft and the Amsterdam University of the Arts. Currently I work at the Illustration department of the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam.

Paf, af!

Concept and illustrations for a children’s book, published by Gottmer Publishing Group in 2003 and Kane & Miller in 2004.

In collaboration with Ferry Piekart and Evelien van der Zaken I made this children’s game book, which contains many games that you can easy play with things everyone has at home. The games had been published in Brabants Dagblad before, when Ferry and I got the idea to make a book out of it. A year after publication in the Netherlands the book was published in the USA. In 2004, Paf, af! was awarded with the Nappa Gold Award.
