Lars Deltrap
My name is Lars Deltrap, welcome to my website. I am an illustrator, animator and teacher. In addition to editorial illustrations for magazines and newspapers, I make animations for television, illustrate books and write and illustrate my own stories. Clients I work for include Sesamstraat, Zin Magazine, De Volkskrant, Quest Magazine, Querido, Gottmer, Zwijsen and Malmberg. Next to working in my studio, I teach art to students. I have taught at various institutions such as the TU Delft and the Amsterdam University of the Arts. Currently I work at the Illustration department of the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam.

Finger Singers

Since 2012, illustrators Gertie Jaquet, Georgien Overwater, Charlotte Vonk and I have been singing in a choir led by Monique de Adelhart Toorop. Once a year at Christmas, we sing an animated Christmas greeting. In 2013, for example, we sang ‘White Christmas’ and in 2016 parts of ‘God only knows’. Meertien van Reenen participates since 2019. The Christmas greeting of that year was ‘English Tea’ by Paul McCartney.
